Fantastic location!

Close to major Anglo-Zulu and Anglo-Boer War battlefields—and within easy reach of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains

Located near Ladysmith, between Johannesburg and Durban, the area in which Nambiti is set is steeped in history, with several Anglo-Boer/Anglo-Zulu War battlefields to be found in the vicinity, having originally been occupied by San Bushmen and later, Zulu tribes and European settlers.

Interestingly, for battle enthusiasts, the 1899 Battle of Elandslaagte – one of the few clear-cut tactical victories won by the British during the second Anglo-Boer War – played out to a large extent within the boundaries of Nambiti and the northern entrance into the reserve is now known as Memorial Gate.

Whether you’re seeking a game or birdwatching safari, a secluded African bush retreat for a business conference, or a battlefields-berg-bush experience rolled into one, Nambiti is the ultimate, ‘must see’ safari destination.
